I doubt we are offering Premiership wages to him so I suspect he is looking for a pay-off from the Fakes in order to accept our lesser offer. This is the traditional holiday time for Clubs so I would not expect movement until pre-season begins and players, agents and Club representatives are all available. Just my take on it. He's not free to sign for anyone without the contract being terminated, either by mutual consent or by either party making a financial settlement. So the ba's still on the Fakes slates. We got van zanten from an exit trial so there are decent players there now and then. If we could pick up one lad who gives to us half of what vanzy did then it's a worthwhile exercise.
