I would take a punt on Leigh Griffiths. Goodwin is a good man manager who could be the one to get him playing again.

Dundee were quoted as paying 25% of his £9,000 p/w salary. No wonder the bhoy doesn’t want to leave Celtic.

Doesn't look like he has (soccerbase).

Have a feeling we might see some movement today.

Seen a couple of things on Twitter regarding Aberdeen saying hedges is away so expect McGrath will follow.

Hopefully Kiltie will be like a new signing when McGrath goes as Kiltie isn’t a midfielder where, he is wasted there and needs to play further forward, definitely a player in there.

Not convinced at all by Kiltie.

I wouldn't go near Griffiths. Goodwin is a good man manager I agree but Griffiths is beyond man management

He’s been successful at every other club he has been at playing further forward, McGrath’s also dropped when Goodwin started playing him deeper.

The managers tactics is wasting players we currently, abysmal.

Hot and cold player even at Killie.

As @JJ McG says, I am hopeful he'll step up when McGrath is away. We've been awful when they have played together; they are too similar and non-complementary. We all know Kiltie was bought to replace McGrath who then didn't leave. Not anyone's fault, but it has hardly been fair on Kiltie given that even an out-of-form McGrath is an automatic pick (rightly or wrongly).

When you chuck in our Death to Football tactics, I think we can afford to give him a clean shot at making a good impression as our main AM.

Tactics  are predictable and so boring and one paced

Yup ,

crossfield pass , crossfield pass, crossfield pass, crossfield pass, crossfield pass, crossfield pass, Pass back to Shaughnessy , four more passes across the defence and ball back to Alnwick then……………Punt up the park .

regain possession and repeat .

Only club in the league that hasn’t signed anyone.

Waiting to get the right players......................................yet again.

Seems to almost be an annual situation, not sure why, but we're almost always scraping around for the leftovers.

I fear Aberdeen won't splash the cash, unless they think their best option for Europe is the cup, which might prompt them to move to prevent Jamie being cup-tied

Other than that eventuality, he will probably just sign a PCA somewhere and see out the season in Paisley.  For what it's worth, we are unlikely to get someone equal to or better than him as a replacement and a player of his ability can lift a side like ours. so a fit and motivated Jamie is better for our cause than letting him go and signing two duffers  It's the manager's tactics that are holding us back, not the quality of the squad.

Aberdeen and splash the cash are rarely even found in the same sentence.

In fairness same could be said for St Mirren....

Dons will be eyeing  Europe through the league first and foremost . They are just 4 points off fourth and they are the form team in their little “best of the rest” league.
They are however, tight as a Camels arse in a sandstorm , I wouldn’t mind betting they try for a loan deal plus compo to get him in early , they won’t want to be putting a team together for a Euro competition attempt at season end, especially as the European preliminary rounds begin so ridiculously early.

Celtic reported to have released Griffiths who will now be a free agent. Scott Alan linked with Dundee. No word on Gocic and no firm move for McGrath as yet.

the only relevance of the window being open is the long queue of saints fans ready to throw themselves out of it if they don't get a signing

Is that the ones that part own the club.

I am a fan. I am a supporter. I am not a part owner, nor would I wish to be. I wonder what proportion of our regular fans attending games regularly are? Any thoughts?
