Sonny
It is weird as Conlan only signed a 1 year contract last September for Burnley - various sources including http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2749669/Luke-Conlan-rejoins-Burnley-one-year-contract-overcoming-knee-problem.html I cannot find anywhere that he signed an extension for Burnley but maybe they are impressed enough to retain his registration and subsidise his wages on the chance he turns out good for us? davidg
No, he can't be on loan.... I'm sure we were all told on here that a player contracted to another club could never come on a trial basis.... Welcome Luke, hope you make a name for yourself whilst playing in the famous stripes. TopCat
One year loan, one year contract... Doesn't really matter. Either way if he's any good he won't be here next season and we won't get any money for him. Let's hope he's as successful as the last left back we had on loan from England... stripey
I thought that Conlan looked decent in the Bradford game. Certainly better than Mo Camara. That would not be difficult
TediousTom
That would not be difficult Do I detect a woosh? Anyway welcome aboard young laddie, welcome aboard indeed. Does this mean we may see young Kelly deployed at centre half? I do hope so.

Loan Signing: Luke Conlan July 23, 2015 By admin St Mirren have this afternoon signed defender Luke Conlan on loan from Burnley. The 20-year old has signed a loan deal with the club until the end of the season and pending international clearance is expected to be in the squad for Saturday’s Petrofac Training Cup tie against Berwick Rangers. Luke, who came through the Burnley youth set-up and is capped for Northern Ireland at Under-21 level, has been assigned squad number 5. Looks like the club thinks he's here on loan! cambiebud
Conlan has been stand out garbage amongst utter dross Extremely harsh on a young player. All he needs is a bit of experience round him.
